December 12, 1950-Dated, Partially-Printed Document Signed, “Harry Truman” as President, 1 page, measures 23” x 9”, at Washington, Choice Near Mint. Official Appointment of Howard H. Tewksbury as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Paraguay. Countersigned by Dean Acheson, Secretary of State. Fully intact Great Seal of the United States at lower left, overall in great condition and perfect for display. It reads, in part: “Harry S. Truman President of the United States of America To Howard H. Tewksbury, of New Hampshire, Greeting: Reposing special trust and confidence in your Integrity, Prudence, and Ability, I have nominated and by and with the advice and consent of the Senate do appoint you Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Paraguay… (Signed) Harry S.
