<B>1872-S H10C Mintmark Above Bow MS67 NGC.</B></I> Beginning in 1870, and continuing to the middle of 1872, mintmarks were placed inside the wreath on the half dimes, reverting back to the previous position below the wreath for the remainder of 1872 and all of 1873. This example, a pristine Superb Gem, has bold design features and frosty luster. Both sides have bright silver surfaces with no evidence of toning.
