1853 Similar obverse, 1st star below bust point and joining it; same reverse die. Another issue attributed to Deriberpie (and associates?). Extremely Rare: 11 examples listed in Breen-Gillio, including a duplicate or two plus one stolen and never recovered; a 12th, damaged, was sold on eBay 8/5/2004. Perhaps the No. 1 piece listed in Breen-Gillio, thus Finest Known, because it was purchased by Jack Totheroh after 2003 already certified by PCGS as MS62. Frosty Brilliant Uncirculated, patch of reddish toning on reverse. PCGS MS62. Only 2 coins graded finer. Nice Bright obverse, only a dozen public sales records. Serial# 11990225 Totheroh Collection HKA#63567
