Originally from Southwest Virginia and a resident of Fort Myers since 1980, JoAnne Bedient has emerged as one of Southwest Florida's premier clay artists. Perhaps best known for her ceramic shoes, she blends realism and fantasy in her inventive designs. Bedient graduated from Fort Hays Kansas State University with a degree in ceramics. Bedient maintains her preference for hand-building pieces instead of using a potter's wheel, but discovering raku firing revolutionized her work. Bedient feels there is always more to be learned and continues to study, read and take workshops. Her work can be found in galleries and juried shows throughout the United States.
Camille is a sculpted, raku fired clay bust. Camille is a survivor. She survived the fires necessary to the process of becoming who and what she is.

Shipping:Domestic - sent via UPS ground, insured. Second Day or Next Day Air available on request. International: air only – contact us for quotes. There is a charge for handling and packing materials and all breakable items will be bubble-wrapped and boxes will be reinforced, or double boxed, to prevent breakage. We will combine lots if possible. Breakable items, however, will be combined only if they're small enough to fit in standard boxes. Please note - purchases of box lots may require several boxes for shipment. Buyers must be willing to pay resultant shipping costs. High value shipments may be sent registered mail if insurance amount is more favorable than UPS. We do not profit from shipping – we only pass along incurred costs.
Payment: Credit cards listed when registering for auction will be charged on the day following the auction for total amount of purchase including premium and appropriate shipping charges. While we also accept checks, money orders, and PayPal, we must receive notification within twelve hours of auction end that you do not wish your credit card charged. We ship only to the address listed on your credit card unless you contact us prior to auction and fax us a written authorization.
Bids: Floor bidders are given preference on bids of the same amount as Internet bidders; i.e. if you leave a bid of $25 and a floor bidder bids $25, item will go to floor bidder.
Questions: We welcome all questions; emails will be answered only on weekdays.
