	1 Harold's Club or Bust!" License Plate Topper Start Price: 30.00High Bid: 60.00 This old license plate topper was for the Harold's Club Casino in Reno, Nevada. It has the slogan: Harold's Club or Bust! It is in the shape of a covered wagon pulled by oxen. Approx 14" x 8" the paint and graphics are still nice and clean. It is marked on the bottom edge: Reno Nevada, Vernon CO, Newton IA. It would make a nice addition to any casino or western collection.
	2 1964 Kennedy Half Dollars 1 P and 1 D and a Kennedy Stamp Start Price: 20.00High Bid: 20.00 1964 Kennedy Half Dollars 90% silver with some discoloration, and a Kennedy stamp which is in good condition. This is the first year of the Kennedy half dollar. One of these coins is a P the other is a D.
	3 (2) One Gallon Glass Coca Cola Syrup Jugs Start Price: 20.00High Bid: 30.00 Here are 2 different glass syrup jugs, each with a paper label for Coca-Cola. They're 12" tall and 6" diameter at the bottom. This is the syrup they would put in a glass and add water. They were mainly used at soda fountains. The one on the left with the mostly red label is from the 40's, the other is from the 60's. Both labels are in great condition with no tears.
	4 Pearl Beer Sign Start Price: 25.00High Bid: 60.00 This tin over cardboard sign was made by The Donaldson Art Design Co. of Covington, Ky. It was made for the Pearl Brewing Company in San Antonio, Texas. The lettering is recessed, very colorful and in excellent condition. There's a scratch above the "E" in Texas and on the right of the last "X". Size is 9" x 13".

A Combination Of The Finest - Turkish - Virgina - Perique & Havana.This is a nice rounded corner lithograph tin. The lid and hinge are tight and the box closes firmly and evenly. Most of the original plating is intact and reflective although spotty in places it still displays well. Size is 4 3/4" x 3 1/4" x 2 1/4".

	13 Pythian Hall Dance Handbill - Portland Start Price: 20.00High Bid: 20.00 Handbills were used as sidewalk handouts and dashboard flyers to promote concerts. This handbill was promoting the March 24,1967 dance. It was held at the Pythian Hall at 918 S.W. Yamhill in Portland, Oregon. Listed performers are Tweedy Brothers - U.S. Cadenza - Multnomah Electric Band. The hand bill / poster is signed by the artist Gina Pappen. There are a couple of scattered light bends along the edges. This has excellent graphics and is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".
	14 Blood, Sweat and Tears 1973 Concert Poster Start Price: 20.00High Bid: 50.00 This is an original 1973 concert poster for a concert by Blood, Sweat and Tears with special guest Sonoma. The concert was held at the Pamplin Sports Center, Lewis & Clark College, Portland, Oregon. The poster printed on very thick card stock will be sent flat. Size is 15" x 22" there is a crease and scratches about 1" from the top edge that runs the width of the poster, even with this flaw the poster still displays very well.
	15 Squirrel Peanut Butter Tin. Start Price: 25.00High Bid: 60.00 This is a Peanut Butter Pail for Squirrel Brand Peanut Butter. It is from Canada Nut Company Limited, Vancouver, B.C. This is a 34 ounce pail complete with the original lid and what looks like the original bail handle. There are small scratches, nicks, dings, rust and wear throughout so please look close at the pictures. Displays well and has a lot of the original gold to the lithograph. Size is 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" at the top of pail.
	16 Philip Morris Sign Start Price: 30.00High Bid: 70.00 The Stout Sign Co, of St. Louis Missouri, made this embossed sign. It features a small picture of Johnny the bellhop, who was used in many Philip Morris advertisements. The sign reads "Call For Philip Morris" and shows a lit cigarette. It is old, original and looks unused. Size is 27 3/4" x 10".
	17 Ladies Shoe Miniature Novelty Knife German Start Price: 20.00High Bid: 40.00 Offered is a distinctive little Ladies Shoe knife. The tang only bears the words BROS & Co. above the word Germany. It quite possibly dates to the 1930s or as late as 1950s; we apologize for our inability to date it, but this is definitely not the kind of knife a person finds every day. Overall length closed is 1 7/8", and the blade measures 1 1/2" from heel to point. The only flaw other the age and dirt we found was one crack by the middle rivet on one side.
	18 Hiroshige Andô (1797-1858) "Return of fishing boats at Gyotoku" Start Price: 50.00 Part of Hiroshige's "Eight famous views of Yedo (Tokyo) environs," wood block prints (originals from 1838). This print is 15" x 10 1/2", and the mat is 14" x 18". These were gifts to his friends. He chose to paint places without mountains so he could write poems in the sprawling sky. Located on the east side of Edogawa River, Gyotoku was known for it's salt fields. In this print, however, Hiroshige captured another aspect of the Gyotoku - that of a fishing village. Fishing boats are returning home from their work for the day. The sky is full of warm light and color and the whiteness of the sails is fascinating. The ferry boat and working fishermen in the foreground reveal part of everyday life of the Yedo people. The print is on thicker paper than the very thin traditional rice paper used in much earlier prints.
	19 Vintage Art Nouveau Gouda plate Start Price: 50.00 This Vintage Gouda plate measures 7 1/2" inches across. It is from around 1924, and made in the Plazuid Factory. The plate is in good to fair condition with no cracks and a two very small chips or fleabites on the back side rim. Please see photos.
	20 Pair of Primitive Bark Covered Bottles Start Price: 25.00 This is a pair of vintage glass bottles covered in what looks like tree bark. They each have a matching shot glass cover to go with the bottle. There are also several tips of tree branches that could be used to hang additional glasses from or maybe they are just decorative. The bottles are approx 12" & 13" x 3 1/2" in diameter. These bottles both are old and take cork stoppers. We do not know the age of these or how they were made. An interesting piece of folk art!

Each is marked "sterling 925" on the inside. They look brand new, never worn and the clasps work great. Size is approx 2 3/8" inside diameter x 2 5/8" outside diameter weight is approx 50 grams. You get all three bracelets for one money. This is a great lot.
	23 WWII Official War Poster Start Price: 30.00High Bid: 100.00 This poster for the 5th War Loan in 1944 was painted and dated by the artist Schreiber. It is also in memory of the U.S.S. Dorado. This is an orignal poster printed by the U.S. Treasury. It has the original envelope. The posters Dimensions are 20" X 28". It was shipped from the government office folded and that is how it will ship to you. The cosigner's family owned a drug store in Newberg, Oregon during the War and these posters were sent to them to display. After the drug store closed, the contents were moved to storage and there, they stayed until recently. The cosigner found this box of posters some of which had never been opened. Most have been unfolded for the first time to present in this auction. Here is a chance to own some U.S. history.

Terre did concert poster art for the Straight Theater in the sixties in the Haight Ashbury area of San Francisco. This vintage flyer is an ad for the Middle Earth Clothing store at 852 Stanyan featuring custom and handmade original garments and leather goods. This poster has been stored flat all these years and is in excellent condition. Size is 10" x 13".
	35 Frank Jones Brewery Tip Tray Start Price: 35.00High Bid: 70.00 This tip tray was manufactured by Kaufmann & Strauss Co. of New York for the Frank Jones Brewery of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This was to advertise their Homestead Ale. The tray is in "Like-New" condition except a tiny dimple to the left of the "E" in "ALE". The tray is 5 1/8" in diameter.

Made by Cheinco, it is approx. 4 1/4" high, 4 1/4" wide at top, and 3 1/4" wide at bottom. Pretty clean, with a few marks here and there. Next are four round aluminum ashtrays each about 4" in diameter. Then three 1958 bookmarks, an aluminum coin and a round green rubber mat about 5" in diameter. This work is rich in rustic beauty, owning to old cherry trees, twilight, and passing travelers. Mt. Fuji sits majestically in the background in simplistic beauty. The print is on thicker paper than the very thin traditional rice paper used in much earlier prints. This print is from a collection we have consisting of older beautiful wood block prints on the thinner rice paper signaling there advanced age. There is some staining, several pages have bends and several appear to have tape mark stains.

	43 1968 Peace And Freedom Party MLK Memorial Handbill - San Francisco Start Price: 30.00High Bid: 35.00 This original handbill is from the April 8, 1968, memorial for Martin Luther King that was sponsored by The Peace and Freedom Movement of San Francisco, a political party that grew out of the Black Panther movement in the 1960's & 70's. It includes is a list of demands, including the immediate release of all political prisoners and that all business in San Francisco cease business on the day of the memorial. This poster is unused and in excellent condition, printed on thin paper and is starting to yellow from age. Size is 8 1/2" x 14".
	44 1950s "Merry Lamp" Motion Light Start Price: 50.00High Bid: 50.00 This unusual table motion lamp has a blue and white encased glass shade on top. The ribbed shape of the shade makes the fish on the spinner inside look as if they are swimming as they go by. There is a vented blue metal top plate on the top shade that has the name "MERRY LAMP" cut into it. There are some plastic flowers and a small bulb in the glass base that light up as well. This lamp works and is in good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. When you turn the lamp on both bulbs light up and after the lamp, warms up the top shade that has the spinner inside will start to spin. Approx size is 15" x 5" x 5". This was difficult lamp to photograph and looks much better in person.

There is a beautiful white crane in a lily pond with delicate purple flowers. There's a red artist's stamp on lower left. Double matted, it measures 20" x 13 3/4", and the expose painted area is 12 3/4" x 7 1/2".
	49 Vintage Punjabi embroidered cloth (2) Start Price: 25.00High Bid: 25.00 This is a wonderful lot of Punjabi decorative cloth. The larger piece is 53" x 27", and is full of a vivid, colorful boxed patterns. It is mainly reds, and blues. The second is a smaller at 28" x 29" "square" of embroidered, and decorated cloth. It is not as ornate as the first but is still beautifully detailed. These would make great table top protectors, pillows, or even wall decor. They're from the 1940's. Punjabi is the name of a region of South Asia where the 5 rivers of Sutlej, Beas, Raavi, Chenab and Jehlum flow.
	50 Library of the World's Best Literature, Ancient and Modern, Royal Edition. Start Price: 100.00 45 volumes, Copyright, 1896. Edited by Charles Dudley Warner. Here, the prolific writer turned editor for his final grand work, a splendid survey of global literature, both classic and modern, and it's not too much to suggest that if his friend and colleague Mark Twain who stole Warner's quip about how, "everybody complains about the weather, but nobody does anything about it" had assembled this set, it would still be hailed today as one of the greatest achievements of the book world. Highlights from Volume 1 include the Letters of Ablard and Heloise, the Letters by Abigail Adams, John Adams, and John Quincy Adams, Aesop's fables. There are selections from the works of Louisa May Alcott (Little Women and more), Alfred the Great, and Henri Fredric Amiel. The entire set contains many amazing illustrations, photogravures of paintings (with tissue papers intact,) portraits, and examples of signatures. There was so much here it is impossible to photograph it all, so we have chose to just show you the 45 volumes. The concert / show held at the Civic Auditorium, Portland, Oregon on Saturday June 29th, 1973. The poster printed on a medium to thin card stock has been rolled. There are wrinkles along the top and bottom edges from being rolled as well as some foxing to the edges. We have not seen this poster before.

This concert featured Neil Young with Kenny Buttrey, Tim Drummond, Ben Keith and Jack Nietzsche; Concerts West and Flying Cloud Sound Northwest produced the concert. The poster is printed on a thin cardstock and has been rolled. The top right corner is missing and there is some tape on the back, there are no creases or tack holes. Size is 14" x 22 1/8".

Sterling Breweries Inc of Evansville, Indiana made this beer. In the base it has a bell so that when the piece was picked up the bell would ring it. 	124 Bromo Seltzer Dispenser Start Price: 50.00High Bid: 230.00 Three-piece Bromo Seltzer Dispenser - this is one of the first Bromo Seltzer dispensers, as it has a colbalt blue glass bottom. This type of dispenser was in drug stores and soda fountains for many years. You would turn the handle to dispense the right amount into the glass; you would then add water and stir. It is unusual to find one complete with the original glass and bottle. As you can see on the bottle, it was made for this dispenser and is embossed with, "EMERSON DRUG" (when the bottle is upside down, the embossing shows right side up.) The size with the bottle is about 16" tall and 4. 1/2" wide and 5 1/2" deep. It is also about 8" tall without the bottle. This great piece really stands out!

The chrome is nicer than we have ever seen, and it's complete with the original lock and working key. These were placed on counters in cafes and restaurants, and while you waited for your order you could put a penny in, push down the lever, and have your yes or no questions answered, as well as getting a fortune or saying. You could also grab a napkin from either side. We just filled it with a stack of vintage fortunes. 	126 Nazca pottery, double spout bridged with "pepper" pattern Start Price: 100.00High Bid: 275.00 This is a beautiful piece of Nazca pottery. It has a black double spout with bridge, rounded tan bottom, and decorated with striped peppers and leaves. The colors are great on this piece, although there has been some damage to some areas of the paint (see photos). This piece is about 7" high and 6" wide at the bottom. We believe this piece to be old and not a modern reproduction, the exact vintage we are uncertain of. It has a rounded bottom and was placed on a roll of tape to take the pictures which maybe visible in some of the pictures.

Is in a hard-to-find Fuchsia pattern with a very high gloss glaze. This jug is 4 1/2" wide and stands 5 1/2" tall. It is also 1 3/8" thick. The pitcher is in near mint condition, no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. There are two minor surface scratches on the interior glaze near the rim, and the colors are still vibrant.

The California Hall was a small venue that competed with shows at the Fillmore and the Avalon. Big Brother and the Holding Company played the California Hall quite often, and many lesser-known Bay Area bands got their start there in the mid sixties. This poster was designed by Greg Irons and used to promote a Steve Miller Blues Band show that also featured The Sunshine Co. and The Anonymous Artist of America. The poster is used and has tack holes to the corners, is discolored or has yellowed with age, there are also some wrinkles to this seldom seen early Steve Miller poster. Size is 14 1/2" x 20".

	147 Vintage Anatolian tribal brocade Rug & 1940's Yastik Rug (2) Start Price: 50.00 This is a lot of 2 rugs, a Brocade and a Yastik. These are both vintage Anatolian pieces. The first, the brocade, is 37" x 20" inches, and is gorgeous. It's colors are mainly reds, tans, and blues. The second piece, the Yastik, is a funky and fun rug that's 21" x 40" inches. Yastiks were used to sit or lean upon, and also as sacks, so it has an inconspicuous opening at one end. On the other end, there's two tassels to decorate the bottom (if used as a sack.) These are both quality wool pieces and very impressive.

This is a lovely, framed print of a nude bather with long red hair, the original of this was painted in 1885 and hangs in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. At the bottom center is the title, "A Bather". Below that is, "Painted by Jean J. Henner." At the lower left is the printed signature of JJ Henner. Under that is, "Courtesy Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York." At the lower right is, "Copyright Excella Magazine 1925." The frame is 10 3/4" x 12 3/4" and the image is 8" x 10".

Copyrighted in 1889 by T.A. Coale Jr. - St. Louis, Missouri, it is signed on the bottom right "G. Mercier". Automedon was the chariot-driver of Achilles. On the day that Patroclos was slain by Hektor, Automedon drove the horses Balios and Xanthos to the rear of the army of the Achaeans so that he could console them. This image shows Automedon bringing the wildly distraught horses from the battle. There is a picture of a girl on the bottom margin. This is a great, high quality image. Born in Paris in 1844, his father was English and mother French Jules claimed British citizenship. He was known as Hawaii's first painter and died in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1889. Most of his California work was of northern California, which in his day was the area above Santa Barbara and further north. This painting is one of two that came from the same consignor. These came from an old prominent Portland family that has owned the painting for several decades. These are more unusual then most of Tavernier's works being vertical paintings. 	195 Lot of Smokey the Bear Items Start Price: 25.00 The first item in this lot of three Smokey The Bear items is a Vintage Smokey The Bear Suction Cup Ashtray - Smokey Says "Snuffit". Smokey wants you to snuff it out! This ashtray was made to do just that - snuff out one cigarette at a time. It has a suction cup on the back. The hat comes off to empty. This ashtray measures 3 1/2" from front to back 2 1/2" top to bottom and 2 3/4" wide. There is some discoloration to the seam on the bears head like it may have been glued back together or this could be from when it was made. Either way it looks unused. The next two items are two different used Vintage Smokey the Bear Snuffit dashboard magnet cigarette snuffers.They were placed on an auto dashboard using a magnet that is on the underside. Each one is about 1 1/2" in size.The label on the bottom is intact, and the magnet is still strong. These were all made in the USA. You get all three for one money!

The poster art is by Stu Bleckman with performers being Sandy Bull and John Fahey. The concert date is Feb. 14th and looks to be from the late 60's. This original poster is printed on a thin paper stock and is 16" x 20". It has been mishandled, has some wrinkles and flaws, displays well, and would look even better framed!
	225 Early Champion Spark Plug Ashtray Start Price: 40.00High Bid: 60.00 This ashtray is made out of Sillimanite. The white part of the spark plug is made with the same material that Champion mined in a couple different mines that closed in the 1940s. The ashtray is 5" in diameter x 3 1/4" to the top of the spark plug. Marked on the bottom is "CHAMPION SILLIMANITE". The spark plug is chrome plated and starting to wear off from use. There are no cracks or repairs, there is a small scrape / chip on the outer base rim mention for accuracy as it is not noticeable when sitting on a counter top please see the last picture. The spark plug looks like one from the 1930s or 40s.

The print is framed in a 16" x 14" speckled gold-colored sealed frame. The print measures 9" x 8". Chagall was a Russian-French artist associated with several major artistic styles, and one of the most successful artists of the 20th century. He was an early Modernist, who created works in virtually every artistic medium including painting, book illustrations, stained glass, stage sets, ceramic, tapestries and fine art prints.

"Her Move" (1912). "Discarding from Strength" Life magazine cover (1910). These prints are 9" x 12". The work of Phillips quickly became popular with Life's readers. In May 1908, he created a cover for the magazine that featured his first "fadeaway girl": a figure whose clothing matched, and disappeared into the background.
	233 Hip'-pen-ing Film Festival Poster, Dec, 1967, San Francisco Start Price: 20.00High Bid: 20.00 It took a bit of effort for us to decode this particular poster for an event at 622 Broadway in San Francisco on December 4 & 11, 1967, called the Hippening Film Festival. Some of the highlights apparently included a film called "GRASS! Before & After" as well as dancers and other performers. The poster art is by S.Virgil. It is used, with no tape or holes, and has been folded with a crease part way across the center starting on the left side center. Size is 11" x 17"

	236 Vintage Punjabi decorative cloth (2) Start Price: 25.00 This is a lot of two Punjabi cloth pieces. The first is mainly full of purple and tans. It measures 55" x 26". It is very ornate but does show some wear due to it's age (see pictures). The second, is a "square" made up of about 28" x 30" embroidered and decorated cloth. These would make a great pair of table runners, pillows, or wall tapestries. Punjabi is the name of a region of South Asia where the 5 rivers of Sutlej, Beas, Raavi, Chenab and Jehlum flow.

Old Tales from the North". The artist is Kay Nielsen, and the plate was used to illustrate the many norse tales in the book. The plate here is a preparatory ink and watercolor style, it is still attached to the page. The image is 5 1/4" x 7" the mat is 11" x 14" and is ready to frame.

Printed on very heavy card stock by Washington Poster Co. of Seattle, Washington. There are tack holes and light dings to the corners and edges, displays well and will be sent flat, as this has never been rolled. Size is 17" x 20 1/2".

Very lovely print quality, with a few small dings and wrinkles to the side edges, these are mention for accuracy, as they do not show up in the pictures. These posters have only begun to be appreciated in recent years. The auction is for the poster only and not the coins used to hold it flat.
	245 Wyandotte Detergent Scouring Powder Tin Start Price: 20.00High Bid: 30.00 Circa 1920's Wyandotte Detergent cleanser tin, manufactured by the J. B. Ford Co. in Wyandotte, Michigan. It has the image of the Wyandotte Indian on the front and images of a man washing a floor and washing walls as well as a lady cleaning "painted surfaces" and another man cleaning a sink with instructions for various uses on the back. Colors are bright. There are scratches and light rust along the bottom rim. Size is 6 1/4" x 3".
	246 1946 Albert Spalding autographed photo to Rex Underwood Start Price: 50.00 Albert Spalding autographed photo (1946). Spalding was not only the foremost American Violinist of this century, but in all probably the greatest instrumentalist this country has ever produced. In addition to the fame, he established the world's finest musical centers. He was also a pioneer in bringing the finest classical music of Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart to all the States of the Union. Inscribed; "To Rex Underwood with congratulations and appreciation for his remarkable device," Signed 1946. Rex Underwood is still alive and lives in Oregon, he created a device for violinists to relax their fingers before playing. Photograph measures 8" x 10" inches. There are flaws to this a 1 1/2" tear top center edge and staple hole and tear lower left.

	248 Columbian Folk Art life scene embroidery Start Price: 25.00 This is a beautiful, fun and funky Columbian folk art piece. The cloth is 9" wide and 22" long. This scene is of a village with animals (chickens, dog, butterflies, cattle and people). At the top, is a herd of white animals under a big yellow sun. There is some lettering that says "Artesanias-Quillasinga Columbia". Artesanias translates to "crafts". The foundation cloth is blue.

If I didn't know better, I would say it was brand new! The second one is also round and stands approximately 9" x 3 1/2" in diameter. The brand is AC and was distributed by Christenson Oil Company of Portland, Oregon. This is a threaded cone top and also in excellent condition.

Three of these boxes have "Nanex" painted below the image to the left. The 2 largest boxes are floral print, unsigned, hinge free, and have a black interior. All but 2 cups have a USSR sticker, but the 2 that do not are the same print. The round vessel also has a USSR sticker. These are various sizes, some of them are the largest spoon 7" - the largest box 6" x 4 1/2" and the large box showing a building is 7 1/4" x 3 1/4".

The performers on this poster are The Cleveland Wrecking Company - Marble Farm - The Womb - Creedence Clearwater Revival & Country Weather. The poster is by Bob Schnepf and the photo by Gene Weiss. Printer on a thin card stock the image shows up on the back as well. This poster is unused has been stored flat it is 11 7/8" x 18 3/8".

The brewery was in operation from the 1890's until 1950 at various locations in Chicago. The strike on this glass in strong and clear, it displays great. Size is 3 1/2" x 2 3/8". There is one fleabite on the inside top lip.
	256 Pair of Primitive Tree Stump Bark Covered Bottles Start Price: 25.00High Bid: 25.00 This is a pair of vintage glass bottles covered in what looks like tree bark. These look more like tree stumps then branches. They each have a matching shot glass cover to go with the bottle. There are also several tips of tree branches that on one of the bottles has two additional shot glasses. The bottles are approx 12" x 7" x 3 1/2" and 11 1/2" x 7" x 7". These bottles both are old and take cork stoppers. We do not know the age of these or how they were made.
	257 Vintage Horseman 24" Composition & Cloth Doll Start Price: 50.00High Bid: 50.00 Up for auction today is a vintage 24" tall composition and cloth doll with working sleep eyes, an open smiling mouth with three teeth, jointed hips and shoulders. Marked on the base of the head is E.I.H. Co. Inc., which is the early Horsman Doll Co. mark. This doll appears to be in good condition but is dirty and does have a lot of crazing to the composite pieces; her cloth body is dirty and stained. This doll is used her wig is loose, comes with original shoes and socks.

The D.=B. brand is cardboard with a tin top and bottom, the Pulvoa is an unusual triangle tin-litho tin. The consignor found both in their original shipping boxes, these are in excellent condition.

This poster has the weekdays next to the dates and they have been crossed out with black marker at the top. This was due to a printing error (you can see on back a slight bleed from the marker). The reproduction and copied prints of this just have a black spot on the wrong days, so this is definitely an original! There is a 1/4" tear along the top center edge. Size is 14" x 22 3/16".
