Interesting American single-shot .32 rimfire caliber rifle, serial #7. Very similar in design and appearance to Remington model 1893 and Model 9 shotguns. Refer: Flayderman 5E-140, 141. The rifle shows a cast brassframe with left side release, rounded pistol grip stock, finger release forend with schnoble front, no button like Remington. Serial #7 on the inside of the frame and bottom of barrel, cast fittings for forend. The barrel measures 28” in length and is octagon is shape and of medium weight. The barrel shows a blue brown patina finish with some scattered light erosion and pinprick pitting, mounted with a v-notch rear sightand blade front sight. The frame and mounts show considerable nickel plate, the wood stock is in good condition, the bore is fair to good. The stock shows some dings, mars, scratches, small losses. The lever release is also acts as a cocking device and flips up when the trigger is released. Although we could find no research to prove the theory, we believe Remington also experimented with a rifle similar in design to their 1893 and #9
