Winchester Model 1873 factory engraved saddle ring carbine with deluxe checkered stock, .44-40 caliber, and set trigger all other features as standard on carbine, serial number 163648. The metal surfaces show a lightly cleaned to gray patina finish with some slight traces of what appears to be an original nickel plate. The barrel address is clear and legible and there is some scattered erosion and pitting none of which is major. The stocks have been refinished and checkering refreshed. The action is good, the bores is slightly rough. The engraving is well defined and very visible also not rubbed out. Very few carbines were factory engraved with deluxe wood and set triggers. No factory letter available at time of cataloging but we will guarantee this carbine to be factory engraved. Keith and Lori Candee Collection. Est.: $6,000-$12,000.
