Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle with Special Order Pistol Grip Stock
Manufactured in 1883. This Third Model has the guide rail integrally machined as part of the receiver. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address/King's improvement patent dates ahead of the rear sight and "32 CAL" at the breech. The bottom of the brass cartridge elevator is marked "32 CAL.", the model designation is on the upper tang and the serial number on the lower tang. German silver blade front and buckhorn rear sights. Blue with casehardened receiver, hammer, lever, and buttplate. Fancy grain plain walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with crescent buttplate and iron end cap.

Condition: Good with refinished barrel and wood. The barrel and magazine tube are refinished, mostly an artificial brown with some vice marks at the breech. The remaining surfaces have a smooth brown-gray patina with traces of silvered out original case colors on the receiver and lever. The reoiled wood is very good with filled repairs near the lower tang and some minor handling marks. Mechanically very good.
