Group of five items associated with Wilhelm Kress (1836–1913), an aviation pioneer and an early aircraft designer who built the experimental Drachenflieger seaplane in 1901. Includes: three original vintage photographs of the Drachenflieger on land and in water, ranging in size from 4.5 x 3.5 to 6.5 x 4.5, each affixed to a slightly larger sheet; a booklet entitled "Aeroveloce: Lenkbare Flugmaschine" by Wilhelm Kress, published in Vienna in 1880, 26 pages, 6.5 x 10, containing two fold-out diagram plates; and a booklet entitled "Comment L'Homme Volera" by Wilhelm Kress, published in Paris in 1909, 92 pages, 6.5 x 10, containing several small diagrams and illustrations. In overall good to very good condition, with toning, heavy chipping, and loose and separated pages to the 1909 booklet.
