WWII Nazi Wermacht Artillery Officer's Dress Uniform
World War II, Wermacht Artillery Officer's dress uniform with decorations, visor cap and trousers. The woo field gray dress tunic or "Waffenrock" with bottle green collar and Swedish cuffs and red artillery branch piping. The tunic has false skirt pockets on the reverse trimmed with red piping. The cuffs and collar have silver bullion embroidered officer's litzen backed with red wool. The shoulder straps are silver bullion with a single gold-colored rank pip on red backing. The tunic has a bullion, embroidered Army breast eagle and aluminum, pebble grained buttons. A aluminum bullion dress aiguillette is attached to the right shoulder. The right breast has a bar with four medals: (1) Iron Cross, Second Class, 1939, (2) War Merit Cross, Second Class, 1939, (3) Long Service Award (10 Years) and (4) "Entry in Austria, March 13, 1938", Commemorative medal. The Iron Cross, First Class, 1939 and Black Wound Badge are attached to the left breast of the tunic below the medal bar. The tunic has a full field gray lining. The gray trousers have red piping on the seams. The officer's visor cap is made from field gray twill wool with a patent leather visor. The cap has a bottle green wool band with red branch piping around the crown and band, pebbled silver side buttons and a aluminum Army eagle on the crown. The cap has a silver bullion chinstrap and embroidered silver bullion wreath around the national cockade. The cap has a rayon lining and light-weight, tan leather sweatband. The sweatband and lining are moth marked with the maker's name and address: "WILHELM WELHAUSEN/HANNOVER".

Condition: Excellent. The tunic is in outstanding condition and shows virtually no wear. All of the buttons, insignia and decorations are present and appear to be original to the uniform. The trousers are in excellent condition overall with several minor, age spots. The visor cap is in excellent condition overall. The colors of the bottle green band and red piping are bright and the insignia and chinstrap are in excellent condition. The sweatband is dry and has some age-cracks and the visor is partially un-stitched from the cap body. This is an excellent and matching WWII Wermacht Artillery Officer's Dress Uniform.
