Condition: Very fine. The barrel and cylinder retain 80% original blue finish with loss due to flaking on the barrel. The balance has a smooth brown and gray patina. The trigger guard and backstrap retain 30% original thin silver plating, mainly on the top of the backstrap and protected areas of the trigger guard. The balance has a pleasant aged patina. A crude "BOB" is scratched into the butt. The grip remains excellent with some mild lower edge wear and a few minor dings and scratches. The markings remain crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The case is good with a repaired corner on the lower left side and nailed repaired crack on the left side of the lid, and nailed on the right edge of the lid. In addition, there are two cracks running across the lid and a minor crack running part way across. The lining is badly faded, but in very good condition with some heavy wear from the front sight and moderate contact wear. A notch has been cut in one of the compartment walls to accommodate the flask spout. All of the accessories are good.
