Measures 29" in total length, with the 23 inch blade showing double fullers, 6" false edge, gold leafy vine work on the spine and each ricasso showing border designs, vine work, and a radiant burst surrounding a Fleur-de-lis in gold. While most strongly associated with the French, the Fleur-de-lis was also used by the Scottish, Bosnians, and others. The pistol section runs along the right side of the blade, with a cannon muzzle, a leafy engraved wedge just ahead of the chamber, and scroll engraving on the underside, where the trigger guard connects to a full length knuckle guard. Fitted with a gold accented one piece iron grip, with a floral pattern around the pommel, border designs, scroll patterns and a scene on either side, with the right showing a hinter in the field, with a pointer indicating a areas of brush, and the reverse showing a hunter kneeling and drawing a bead on a fleeing rabbit.

Condition: Very good. The blade and pistol show a mixed gray patina overall, with patches of brown and scattered pitting. The hilt is a solid brown, with some mild pitting. At least half of the original gold remains, with wear concentrated on the grip. Mechanically functions but needs minor work.
