Produced in October of 1941, this rifle bears markings which suggest that it was provided to Great Britain as part of the Lend Lease program. Standard sights, with Battle Range drum and locking bar. The barrel is marked with an inverted "S-A-10-41", partially overstamped with Birmingham proof, tonnage and caliber marks. Fitted with a Springfield bolt, trigger guard, trigger housing, hammer and operating rod. Smooth stock, with "P" on the trigger guard, "S.A./ G.H.S." cartouche next to the Ordnance crossed cannon stamp on the left, and a brown leather sling.

Condition: Excellent, with 90% plus of the original finish, showing mild handling marks and operating wear overall.. The finish has flaked off the gas cylinder and locking nut, showing a gray and brown patina. Stock is very fine, with dings and scratches overall. Leather is cracking but remains supple. Mechanically excellent.
