Blade and R.S. Lawrence ladder sights on a barrel with three line Sharps address between the rear sight and barrel band and "NEW MODEL 1863" stamped between the rear sight and the receiver. The breech of the barrel on the left side are stamped with an "EAW" inspector marking, with the letter "W" on the left side of the receiver, the letter "P" on the hammer, and the letter "H" on the barrel band. The lock plate has the R.S. Lawrence 1859 and Sharps 1852 patent dates and left side of the receiver has the Sharps 1848 patent date. Saddle ring bar with ring on the left side with the base stamped "TWR". Smooth straight grip stock with patch box.

Condition: Very good as arsenal refurbished. The barrel retains traces of blue finish in the protected areas with the balance a mottled brown patina. The receiver, hammer, and lever retain 70% of the arsenal applied dull blue finish. The lock plate retains traces of case colors in the protected areas with the balance a mottled brown patina. There is minor pitting on the lower tang, patch box and buttplate. The otherwise good wood has a surface chip missing from the forearm and some minor pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically fine.
