Two Jimmy Lile Folding Knives with Ivory Inlays
These two folding knives were fabricated by the late Master Knifemaker Jimmy Lile. 1) Folding knife with a 2 1/4 inch blade marked "LILE". The brass frame has ivory inlays. OAL: 5 1/8". 2) Folding knife with a 2 inch blade marked "LILE". The silver frame has ivory scales. The left scale has three scrimshawed quail in flight and is signed and dated by the scrimshander, "D. CAYOOD 87". OAL: 5". One of the most influential knifemakers in the world, Lile is the inventor of the famous "Lile Lock" folding knife and is probably best remembered as the creator of the original Rambo knife for the movie "First Blood" which generated a whole new era of knife design and collecting.

Condition: 1) Excellent, with extremely limited very light spotting on the blade and some minor scratches on the frame. The ivory has a nice grain pattern. 2) Very fine with the silver beginning to age and having some light flaking. The ivory has some light handling marks, with a nice grain pattern.
