The tunic has the correct screwback collar insignia and all buttons. The inside of the jacket is stamped "Quartermaster's Dept. / U.S. Marine Corps" over a date (possibly 1922) and "1-S". The uniform comes with dress blue trousers featuring the scarlet blood stripe and a dress blue visor. The trousers are stamped "Quartermaster's Dept. / U.S. Marine Corps / 1920-1927" and "1-S". 2) Marine Corps service tunic with an Indian head patch on a brown wool background sewn to the left sleeve, corporal chevrons on both sleeves, and a service stripe on the left sleeve. The tunic has a screwback insignia on the right collar. The inside of the left sleeve is stamped "1-S" and "Quartermaster's Dept. / U.S. Marine Corps" over a date (an illegible 1920s date). The inside of the right sleeve is hand marked "H. VANDERVER". With a service visor. The Indian head patch is the insignia for the 6th Marine Regiment, an infantry regiment that is currently based at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The 6th Marine Regiment was activated during World War I and was under the command of U.S. 2nd Division (Regular), American Expeditionary Force. During World War II the regiment fought in the Pacific Theater and saw combat at Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan, Tinian and Okinawa. Decades later the regiment would see combat during the 1991 Gulf War and in support of operation Iraqi Freedom.
