Two Plains Awl Cases. 1. 20" long (including drops). Finely beaded in a banded design of pale blue, cobalt, yellow, green and white-heart red. Drops show remnants of green pigment, are edged in beads and are finished off with horsehair stuffed tin cones. With bone handled awl. Circa 1890s. 2. 21" long (including drops). Finely beaded in a banded design of solid and translucent beads. Drops are wrapped in dyed quills and decorated with horsehair (remnants) stuffed tin cones. Early-mid 20th century.
