Provided for your consideration in this lot is a fine Montana Pronghorn trophy shoulder mount. The pronghorn is a uniquely American game, existing as far East as Western Minnesota, and reaching to Eastern California - And as far North as Southern Saskatchewan, and South to Northern Baja. The Pronghorn, often referred to as an American Antelope, or simply Antelope, is actually closest related to the Giraffe, and is part of the Giraffoidea superfamily, making it a distant relative to more similar deer, antelope, and gazelles. This mount in particular shows two prominent antlers, each with an additional "prong". As well, the pronghorn displays a wonderful tan/dark brown/off-white color gradient. The mount is in good condition overall. The fur of the pronghorn does show some light matting from age. The mount measures; 14 3/4" wide, 33 1/4" tall, and 19 1/2" deep from the mounting surface to the nose.
