A) Percussion conversion, possibly Prussian, circa 1809, no lock markings, marked "191" on top of the barrel at the breech and "B584" followed by a crown proof on the left rear. Brass mounted, full stock with dished cheek area and iron, trumpet head ramrod stamped "22".

B) 1862, "TOWER" and crown marked lock and the left rear of the barrel is marked with two number "24" and two British proofmarks. Brass trigger guard, adjustable rear sight and period crudely carved initials in the varnished and cracked (but solid) stock.
