George Herman Ruth (1895-1948), otherwise known as “Babe” Ruth, was one of the most phenomenally gifted baseball players in the history of the game. He began his career in 1914 as a pitcher for Baltimore, then went on to play for Providence, the Boston Red Sox, and the NY Yankees. Ruth held the record of 714 home runs in a career that stood until 1961. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936. The photo was taken on April 9, 1925. Each limited edition giclée is individually hand-titled, hand-numbered and authenticated with a Hulton|Archive embossed seal.
