After Karl Heilmayer ( German, 1829-1908) oil on board painting of a Venice by moon light.  Karl Heilmayer ( also Heilmayr, 5 March 1829 in Munich, died May 18, 1908) was a German landscape painter, born as the son of the royal court painter & landscape painter Emil Heilmayr, studying at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich, painting mainly fog & moonlight landscapes. In the search for picturesque places he undertook study tours, among others to Upper Bavaria, Italy, South Tyrol, also visited Belgium, France & Northern Germany. Heilmayer exhibited his works at exhibitions in Munich, Berlin, Dresden & Vienna. Â
