Stevens-Pope falling-block single shot rifle on 44-1/2” action, .32-40 caliber, factory style scroll engraved action, double-set triggers, false muzzle, veneer tang sight, spirit level front sight, Pope-type loadingrod. Barrel mounted with scope blocks. Nicely replaced buttstock in keeping with classic style. Tang #564. Barrel shows “624” on bottom with “18” over “1.24” marking. The barrel shows 95-98% of an old re-rust bluefinish, the markings are very light but visible. The frame shows traces of case hardening drifting to silver. The action is good, bore is excellent.
