DS, one onionskin page, 8.5 x 11, March 23, 1959. Letter of agreement between Columbia Pictures and Spencer Tracy, in which the latter approves the hiring of Peter Glenville as the director of "the motion picture tentatively entitled 'The Devil at Four O'Clock,'" in which Tracy will portray the role of 'Father Doonan.' Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Tracy. In fine condition, with scattered light creasing, and old tape to the top. Tracy would later demand the replacement of first choice director Peter Glenville with utility director Mervyn LeRoy.
