Smith's patent April 15, 1873 marked .32 rimfire cal. revolver, fully and finely New York engraved in Nimschke style, nickel plated, ivory grips serial #4537. The revolver retains 95-98%+ unpolished originalnickel finish with some very minor beginning natural age. The hammer shows 90-95% case hardening, the cylinder spring shows most of its original light finish. The ivory grips fit impeccably, show just slight aging andyellowing and are at least very good+ to near excellent. The engraving is of high quality, shows classic scrolls, stars, crosses and ribands and geometric motifs, all recorded in Nimschke's pattern look. Thebest .32 Smith imaginable. A real gem.
