Smith and Wesson 1st Model Hand Ejector revolver, .44 S&W Special caliber, Serial #13880. The pistol is in fine overall condition with a 6 ½” barrel. The pistol retains approximately 90% of its factorynickel finish with wear noted at the muzzle and on the cylinder. The pistol features muted case coloring on the hammer and trigger. The smooth ivory grips are in very good condition with the color mellowing withage. The bore is very good, the action crisp and markings are sharp. The pistol includes a Smith and Wesson factory letter confirming all features other than the ivory grips, which were added later, indicating that thepistol was shipped to E.K. Tryon & Co., Philadelphia, PA., on January 18, 1917. This is a great factory nickel Triple Lock with beautiful grips. From the estate of Larry Gaertner. Est.: $1,500-$3,000. (C+R)
