Smith and Wesson 1st Model Hand Ejector revolver, .44 S&W Special caliber, Serial #13442. The pistol is in fine overall condition with a 6 ½” barrel. The pistol retains approximately 90% of its factorynickel finish with wear noted at the muzzle, on the cylinder and light freckling on the frame. The pistol features a five screw frame with muted case coloring on the hammer and trigger. The smooth pearl grips are invery good condition with small losses at the toe of the right panel. The bore is good, the action crisp and markings are sharp. The pistol includes a Smith and Wesson factory letter confirming all features other than the pearl grips, which were added later, indicating that the pistol was shipped to Cowdrey Exporters, New York City on November 4, 1916.
