The lot features a Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 Highway Patrolman double action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum. The pistol has a serial number of N953837 and was manufactured from 1969-1979. The pistol was owned and used by the Northeastern Montana Highway Patrol department in the 1980's until it was sold from the department this year. It shows a blue finish with checkered walnut grips bearing the round S&W medallion. The revolver also has a wide serrated target trigger with fully adjustable rear and fixed front sights with full rib barrel. The pistol also has a 3/4 under barrel lug. Marked on left side, "Smith & Wesson" and on right ".357 CTG. HIGHWAY PATROLMAN - MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS. - (the Smith & Wesson logo). The pistol shows much of the original blueing with holster wear on the end of the barrel and across the cylinder. The stories this Montana Highway Patrol Police Officer issue revolver could tell.
