Offered for sale in this lot is a fine Smith & Wesson Model 2, Double-Action, Top-Break revolver, chambered for .32 S&W Short. The revolver shows a serial number 155613, and attributes it to an early 4th Model. The revolver utilizes a 3" round barrel with full top rib, 5-shot cylinder, hard rubber "S&W" monogram grips, top break operation, and a fine double action trigger. The revolver is marked in numerous places, reading; "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PAT'D JAN.24.65 - JULY 11.65. AUG. 24.69. REUISSUE JULY 25.71.MAY 11.80.JAN.3.82" on the top of the barrel rib, and showing matching serial numbers on the butt of the grips, on the back of the cylinder, and on the bottom of the top break latch. Overall, the revolver shows very good condition, with some wear to the cylinder and the backstrap. Mechanically the revolver has a superb double-action, with good cylinder timing. As well, the revolver has a tight cylinder lock-up, but the hammer must be held down on single action, and will not hold at full cock. The revolver qualifies as an Antique Hand Gun, and does NOT require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check. Serial Number: 155613.
