Smith & Wesson 5-screw hand ejector DA revolver, .38 Special cal., 6-1/2” barrel, blue finish, checkered wood grips, lanyard ring, #73867 in overall very good condition showing considerable original finish with holster wear and loss tofinish on left side of barrel and a corresponding area of the cylinder with scattered light pitting, possibly from contact with moisture in a holster; left side of the frame shows period inscription “Won By Capt. W. Y. Burton, 3rd Inf. W. N. G.1905”; crisp action, sharp markings, very good to fine bore; grips are very good with a couple old edge losses at the bottom of the right grip. Would be interesting to research the Captain and the referenced event. (C&R). Est.:$300-$500.
