Refinished U.S. Military marked double-action service revolver chambered in .45 Auto, circa 1918. Features a fully blued finish, pinned 5.5" barrel marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY," forged round blade front sight, notched rear sight, non-shrouded ejector rod, fluted six-shot cylinder, smooth service hammer. checkered hammer spur, lanyard ring and two-piece smooth walnut grips. The square butt is marked "U.S. ARMY MODEL 1917", all serial numbers match and various Eagle Head/S proof marks are observed: S2 on barrel & yolk and a S1 on the frame. Revolver retains approximately 84% of it's blued refinish showing some storage/handling wear on the barrel and some other small scattered losses. Action is smooth with a solid lock-up, marking are mostly good, bore is excellent and wood grips are very good but possibly reproduction.
