The lot features a fully beaded knife sheath that is attributed to the stylings of the Sioux Native American Indians. The piece shows a parfleche lining with an Indian tanned hide wrap and is covered in glass trade seed beads. The beadwork shows such colors as chalk white, semi-transparent red, semi-transparent green, semi-transparent greasy yellow, and semi-transparent dark blue. The median line on the face of the scabbard shows a row of fringe adorned with rolled tin jingle cones. The top of the piece shows a braided rawhide/hide strap. The piece is an Indian Reservation Trading Post piece. Measures overall 14.5"L x 3.5"W.
