Scarce Palm Pistol by Minneapolis Firearms Co with Purse Holster and Ammunition Box
The Minneapolis Palm Pistol is smaller than its similar counterpart, the Chicago Palm Pistol. Only seven shots are held in the revolving turret. The center fire cartridge is less than 1/2 inch long. There is no rubber pad on the plunger, the barrel is half-octagon and the side plates are checkered black hard rubber. The removable side plates are marked "THE PROTECTOR / MINN. FIRE ARMS CO." on one side and the opposite side is marked "PATENTED / MARCH 6, 1893 **". All numbers match. The system for holding the side plate is different. The Minneapolis has a butterfly key on the frame that fits in a corresponding slot in the plate. The safety on the rear of the frame rotates to engage the pin on the rotating bar, preventing any further advance. Complete with a rare chamois purse holster and a box of Winchester 32 XSRF cartridges with 4 rounds (2 Winchester, 1 marked "H", 1 UMC). Included is a typed letter from O.C. Young detailing the history of, and a brief description of the Palm Pistol and how it functions.

Very fine. The pistol retains approximately 90% original nickel finish with some minor flaking and some minor scratches (mostly on the barrel). The hard rubber has limited bruising in the overall crisp checkering. The purse holster is very good with some minor stains. The stitching is tight and holster latches properly. The box is good with even minor wear on the lid label, otherwise the box is solid.
