Reike grew up on the Oxbow Ranch by Wolf Creek, Montana attending school in a two room schoolhouse. Studied art at the University of Montana and at the Arts Student League in New York. Played nightclubs for several years in Montana; in 1966 became assistant curator of the Montana Historical Society under artist, Robert Morgan. Became full time painter in 1968. Bought the Kessler mansion in Helena and set up an art studio there. Lives in Billings and paints mostly with oils and watercolors. Had one man shows in New York, Alabama, and Montana. Purchased by Scotty Zion at the CMR Art Auction in the 1970s or 1980s.
