Reproduction Baker Rifle w/ Bayonet .62 Cal
Modern reproduction of the flintlock rifle used by the rifle regiments of the British Army during the Napoleonic Wars. The Baker rifle was the first standard-issue, British-made rifle accepted by the British armed forces. Finished in-the-white with a 30.5" barrel, brass blade front sight, express style rear sight with one folding leaf, Osborn & Gunby marked sword bayonet with scabbard, smooth trigger, steel ram rod, Tower marked lock, brass furniture, smooth black leather sling, brass patch box with agate flints and full-length smooth wood stock brass butt plate & brass escutcheon on the top of the wrist. The rifle exhibits a small amount of light surface rust on the barrel. Action is sound, the bore is clear and the wood stocks are very good with a couple losses along the upper tang of the buttplate. Condition is near Very Good. ***Non-Firearm*** From The John F Sukey Collection
