Lot of two including: 1) "Lovely Lillian," dated 1897, but printed in 1965. The subject is a beautiful woman with long, flowing hair, who admires the roses she holds in her left hand while relaxing in a chair. "Reproduced in Tintogravure from the Original Painting" and "Created by Brown & Bigelow, Div. of Standard Packaging Corp., U.S.A." is printed on the matted below the calendar. The artwork measures 6 x 8", while the light cardstock matte with ornate gold trim measures 11 x 16". Distributed by "Reno Beauty & Barber Supply Co., 210 W. Commercial Row, Reno, Nev. 322-9118." The calendar measures 6 x 4 1/2", and is stapled to the bottom of the matte. An explanation of the 1897 date is also printed under the calendar: "This is all made possible because every year has its daily, weekly and monthly counterparts, and those of 1965 are the same as those of 1897. This pad, though dated 1897, is exactly the same as the pads on all 1965 calendars." 2) "Dream Girl," #7691, by Copr. C. Moss, 1945. The lithograph measures 7 x 9 1/2", while the cardstock matte measures 8 1/2 x 12". The matte is wood-tone with blue, green, and red borders. The calendar was distributed by "Al Greenhalgh Shell Service, Lubrication-Tires-Batteries-Accessories, Phone No. 147-J. N. Carson and Caroline St. Carson City, Nevada," printed on the bottom border. Dated 1946, with "Season's Greetings" on the cover, the calendar pad measures 4 x 2".
