You are bidding on a Remington Rolling Block Smooth Bore .50 Cal Carbine. The carbine features 20 1/2" round barrel, walnut stock, blue'd finish, rolling block action, and flip up sights. The Remington Rolling Block rifle was a breech-loading rifle produced from the mid-1860s into the early 20th century by E. Remington and Sons (later Remington Arms Company). The action was extremely strong, and could easily withstand the increased pressure of the new smokeless powders coming into use by the late 1880s. The rifle shows good condition, with wear from age and use. The mechanics are tight and smooth. The bore is smooth and bright with some pitting. This is a antique firearm. NO FFL transfer or NICS background check required. There is no Serial number.
