British military magazine fed bolt action training rifle chambered in .22 caliber rimfire. Converted from a No 4 rifle by B.S.A. Co circa 1948-1950's with approximately 2,500 built. Features a black painted finish, 25.2" barrel with integral bayonet lugs, shrouded patridge front sight, stamped metal flip-up aperture rear sight graduated to 1,300 yards, two barrel bands, smooth trigger, detachable .303 size host magazine with a removable 5 round .22 magazine, manual safety on the left side of the receiver, green canvas sling, integral .303 charge loading guide cuts in the receiver, grooved full-length wood handguard, smooth forend, straight grip shoulder stock and brass trapdoor buttplate. The left side of the the receiver is marked "No. 7 Mk. I." Serial numbers match on the receiver and bolt handle. The magazine displays a light brown patina while the balance of the metal surfaces retain approximately 88% of their black paint finish.
