This is a pre-Prohibition porcelain whiskey jug. This old jug is 7 1/4 inches tall x about 5 inches in diameter, with a small finger loop handle on the back side. The handle is solid and secure. The jug is glazed with no crazing. There is a chip on the right top lip and some wear to the r and e in Meredith's.
We are not sure how much liquid it held, as we chose not to fill it.
Marked on the bottom is "K.T.& K. - CHINA" made by the Knowles, Taylor, Knowles China Company. This company was located in East Liverpool, Ohio from approximately 1850 until 1931, when it closed for good. This company was known as Knowles until 1870, when John Taylor and the Knowles' son joined the company. It was then know as Knowles, Taylor, Knowles or K.T.&K for short.

Shipping Details:
Orders are normally processed within 2 to 3 business days of the close of auction. If you need something sooner please contact us during normal hours. We ship via UPS Ground and USPS.
Shipping is based on the actual value, weight, size and destination of your delivery. The majority of our shipping is done in house by Paige Auction Staff.
Once your items have been packaged we will complete your invoice and include all shipping costs. At that time we will invoice you with your completed total. No double invoices or separate bill for your shipping and items.
If there is a problem with your order, such as bad address, invalid card number, then the order will be held until these issues are resolved with the customer.

Anyone who bids is bound by these Terms and Conditions of the Sale, Announcements made on the day of sale take precedence over any printed matter or posted notices, which together form the contract of the sale between the high bidder (purchaser), Paige Auction and the seller (consignor) of the lot.

Cash, VISA / MasterCard or Check. Personal or Company checks are accepted if you are known to us. All purchases must be paid for in full before they can be removed from premises. All payments are due within 10 days after the auction. Bidders that have not paid by the 10th day following the auction will have there credit cards charged for the full amount.
A buyers premium will be added to the bid prices and is payable by the buyer as part of the total purchase price.

Paige Auction GUARANTEES ALL LOTS TO BE AUTHENTIC and makes every effort to accurately describe all items offered at our sales, however all items for sale are “as is,” and it is the bidders responsibility to determine the exact condition of each item. Since all sales are final please verify our descriptions and carefully view the property at a preview before you bid. Paige Auction will not be held responsible for typographical errors. Rights & Responsibilities:
The auctioneer will determine the highest bidder. The auctioneer alone has the right to reopen the bidding of an item if deemed necessary due to a dispute. If there is a tie bid between the floor and Internet or absentee bid, the floor takes bid precedence. Paige Auction and its representatives reserve the right to remove those attendees who impede the previews and/or the auction. Title to all merchandise shall pass to the highest bidder at the fall of the auctioneer's hammer. The buyer will then assume all risk and full responsibility of the lot purchased once ownership has changed. No lot may be transferred to another buyer.
