Photo measures 20" x 24" in size and has been hand-signed in black felt-tip pen by Peter Forsberg (Nordiques, Flyers).

While most teams endure some struggles in their debut in a new city, the Colorado Avalanche did the opposite. Led by second-year center Peter Forsberg and buoyed by captain Joe Sakic and goaltender Patrick Roy – Hall of Famers all of them – the Avalanche went 47-25-10 and swept the Florida Panthers to capture the Stanley Cup. They liked the feeling so much they did it again five years later. This time, they added eventual Hall of Fame defensemen Rob Blake and Ray Bourque, along with exciting young wingers Milan Hejduk and Alex Tanguay, and the result was a 52-16-10-4 romp through the regular season and an epic Stanley Cup final that saw the Avalanche prevail in seven games. Forsberg was at the literal center of it all, leading the way on both ends of the ice as well as with his leadership. His game and his teams were consistently at the top of the mountain, and this piece perfectly reflects that. With the Rocky Mountains in the background, five action images of Forsberg are seen in his various stages of preparation, execution and celebration in both Avalanche home and away jerseys.
