Possible Irish in origin, the percussion coach gun features a brass barrel with a flared muzzle which nearly has a 1 1/4 inch opening. The left side of the barrel is stamped with two "crown/P" proofs and a "RT" proof. An 11" long snap bayonet is fitted to the top of the barrel with the release mechanism on the upper tang. The lock plate is unmarked and the hammer has a scroll engraving. Smooth straight grip stock with brass side plate, trigger guard, ramrod pipe, and flat buttplate. The buttplate and barrel are stamped "DU-4487".

Condition: Very good. The brass has a mixed aged patina. The lock plate and hammer have a mixed gray patina with minor pitting on the lock plate. The bayonet has a mottled gray patina with some minor pitting. The spring is weak and does not propel the bayonet forward. The rear ramrod pipe is missing. The repaired stock is good with a repaired long sliver on the forearm (right side) and a chip missing near the lock plate, along with some minor dings and scratches and a couple minor gouges.
