Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania who was one of the first patriots to advocate for complete independence from Britain (1739–1813). Philadelphia Bank check, 6.5 x 2.5, filled out and signed by Clymer, “Geo. Clymer,” payable to Bronson and Chauncey for $4, May 3, 1804. In fine condition. Clymer served as the first president of the Philadelphia Bank, which was founded in 1803.
