This is an original signed production cel and background from the hit series X-Men. Stan Lee signature is located on the bottom of cel in black sharpie. * * Under a cloud of increasing anti-mutant sentiment, Professor Xavier creates a haven at his Westchester mansion to train young mutants to use their powers for the benefit of humanity, and to prove mutants can be heroes. Xavier recruited Cyclops, Iceman, Angel, * Beast and Jean Grey calling them "X-Men" because they possessed the "x-gene", an ability normal humans lacked. Early issues introduced the team's arch enemy, Magneto and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, who would later battle the X-Men for years. * * NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! * * * * * Original Animated Cel * * Overall Size of the Cel: 10 1/2" x 12 1/2" * Excellent Condition * * * This is an original hand-painted cel set-up used in the production of an episode of "X-MEN." Each one-of-a-kind set-up represents a slight change in position of the characters. When individually photographed and projected in rapid succession, the images * appear to move. * * To create production cels, the original animator's drawing is transferred onto an acetate cel (by hand-inking and/or photo copying). The cel is then hand-painted on the reverse side. * * * * * The cel is ready to be matted and framed. It has the animator's notations located at the bottom.
