Offered here is an original piece of sports art is guaranteed one-of-kind and absolutely authentic! * This is a unique original framed drawing of a dream that never came true - a monumental bronze statue celebrating three Chicago Blackhawks legends - Stan Mikita, Bobby Hull and Glenn Hall envisioned by world renowned sculptor Omri Amrany: Pencil drawing on archival paper Framed dimensions 34 × 46 inches Drawing 26 × 30 inches Signed in pencil LR Dated 1999 LR Handsome and very complimentary framing treatment This unique drawing has a fascinating story behind it. The concept of the sculpture was first proposed to Bill Wirtz, the owner of the Blackhawks. The sculptor's idea was to site it opposite the famous Michael Jordan Chicago Bulls "Spirit" statue in front of the United Center (the shared home of the Bulls and the Blackhawks), which was also created by Chicago artists Omri Amrany and his wife Julie Rotblatt-Amrany. The concept was rejected. * * Besides the Michael Jordan statue (which has achieved landmark status in Chicago), Julie Rotblatt-Amrany and Omri Amrany, this creative team executed a bronze bust of Harry Carey, which was unveiled in 1999 in front of Wrigley Field. They also recently unveiled a series of steel statues in front of Detroit Tigers stadium (Comerica Park) of their hall of famers, including Hank Greenberg, Ty Cobb, Al Kaline, and others.
