Fell is a renowned Cody, Wyoming artist, originally born near Big Timber, Montana in 1896 - Olive took inspiration from the scenic beauty of the surrounding Rocky Mountains. It was around the 1930's and 40's that Fell's career blossomed, commissioning etchings and other works of art to be sold at the Haynes Picture Shop in Yellowstone National Park - The same location this print would have been purchased. Nowadays, Olives awesome works of art can be found in the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, and the Whitney Western Art Museum. Additionally, Olives prints were showcased in the 1936 International Etchers show in Los Angeles, and the Northwest Printmakers show in Seattle that same year. This print in particular was hand-printed, and signed & titled by Fell on the bottom left & right corners. The piece is in good condition - preserved in a mylar protective sleeve, and attached to paper mating. The mating measures 13" x 10".
