Aside from Roddy McDowall, no other actor has appeared in more of the classic Planet of the Apes movies than Natalie Trundy (this may be explained in part by the fact that she was married to the series’ producer, Arthur P. Jacobs.) Trundy first appeared as the beautiful mutant, Albina, in Beneath the Planet of the Apes, then as a sympathetic human researcher in Escape from the Planet of the Apes, but her most enduring characterization is that of Lisa, wife of the revolutionary ape leader, Caesar (Roddy McDowall), who first appeared in Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. This classic costume is from the final entry in the successful film franchise, Battle for the Planet of the Apes. It features an under-skirt, a paneled dress with leather collar and the super-distinctive Apes shoes, which look like hands. Female chimp costumes are incredibly rare – it's estimated less than 20 were made - but this is THE only known Lisa costume to ever come to market. An internal 20th Century-Fox tag reads “Natalie Trundy.” The costume is currently mounted on a custom-built flexible mannequin with a stunning silicon head of Lisa (made using ape appliances from Trundy’s mold), prosthetics grade glass eyes and hand punched human hair.
