This lot offers a Napoleonic Dragoon Sword Introduced in 1805. This sword features a fine 3-bar brass hilt, with a black leather grip accented by brass furrule, as well as a semi-dome style pommel, all of these features were standard for the Dragoon swords. The scabbard is of nickel color and has a spring system to keep the sword in place, as well as two suspension rings. This sword is an excellent example of an original 1800's Dragoon sword, and is in good condition. Flaws show in the form of wear on the tip of the sword from inserting and retracting from the scabbard, as well, the handle has a small amount of play. The sword measures 42 1/2" long when sitting in its scabbard, 3 3/4" wide, and roughly 5" deep.
