This is a copy of the famous bronze "Mousse Siffleur" or "The Whistling Ship's Apprentice" by VACLAV BERNARD SZCZEBLEWSKI (POLISH) circa 1875. this is probably from the 1930's. It is the spelter figure of a young French boy whistling with hands in his pockets. He stands barefoot wearing a peasant type shirt loosely tucked into his worn and torn pants which are rolled up and tied at the waist by a piece of rope. On his head is a cap. This sculpture was cast using the ancient old "Lost Wax Method" stained in brown patina finish for preservation. 100% handmade and 100% bronze, mounted atop a black marble base and signed by the artistFisher.
