Model 1911A1, .45 ACP caliber, semi-automatic pistol by Ithaca gun company, presentation series with factory Du Lite finish, military grips, no US property or inspection marks. Serial number “IG15” engraved on right side of frame. The pistol shows approx. 98-99% commercial quality blue finish with razor sharp edges, just some slight evidence of operation, near excellent grips, pristine interior and internal parts. Beautiful polish, and exceptionally well made. Just a minute loss of finish by the serial number and near the grip safety. In craft-type cardboard box with extra magazine in wax paper. Box is Ithaca stamped and marked, but of a later period. 1 of 50 in the presentation series; refer to “U.S. Military Automatic Pistols, 1884-1900”, by Edward “Scott” Meadows, Volume II, page 128-133 were it is evident that these presentation guns were given to important military officers.
