Serial number “IG15” engraved on right side of frame. The pistol shows approx. 98-99% commercial quality blue finish with razor sharp edges, just some slight evidence of operation, near excellent grips, pristine interior and internal parts. Beautiful polish, and exceptionally well made. Just a minute loss of finish by the serial number and near the grip safety. In craft-type cardboard box with extra magazine in wax paper. Box is Ithaca stamped and marked, but of a later period. 1 of 50 in the presentation series; refer to “U.S. Military Automatic Pistols, 1884-1900”, by Edward “Scott” Meadows, Volume II, page 128-133 were it is evident that these presentation guns were given to important military officers.
