For your consideration is this wonderful Mission Shaker library desk crafted of quarter sawn oak. The desk features an oval top, partially covered sides, and a small divided shelf. The solid wood desk is stained a medium brown and is in very good condition. Mission style furniture was an American style which originated in the late 19th Century. The style became increasingly popular following the 1901 Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York. The Mission style is popularly associated with the American Arts and Crafts movement. The desk measures 43 3/4" x 27 3/4" and stands 28 3/4" tall. Truly a rare find. This is truly a wonderful early 1900’s piece.
