(TCF, 1947) Purple period dress with black satin collar and ivory satin ribbed insert. Handwritten label “499-28 Mildred Natwick” and stamped “1 69 6 0817” and studio cleaning stamp. Material on shoulders faded. Collar is detached in back. Seam on back is detached two inches. Designed by Rene Hubert. Worn by Mildred Natwick as “Amelia Newcombe” when she returns home with Catherine Apley from their European trip in The Late George Apley.
